I personally can’t imagine that if I am honest. Stress can also come from other places and it can be connected to anxiety and anxiety disorders.

Nowadays we experience more and more stress and chronic stress is especially dangerous for our health and well-being. There is even said that stress is the silent killer.
It can come at any time and slowly kill us, and we maybe would not be aware of how stress impacts our lives, health, and well-being, because we are sometimes too busy to notice.
This is why we need to think about chronic stress as something that we all need to be aware of and look for in our lives.

There are many ways to reduce stress and many ways how to calm down. It depends on each of us. We all are different and we need different ways to let go of stress. What helps me to reduce stress, not necessarily help you in this regard.
Of course, as usual, we are going to talk about natural and healthy ways to reduce stress and not about medicine that can get you addicted and so on.
So let’s start! Here are five tips to calm down, to relax your body and mind:
1. Listen to relaxing music
When I once asked some people how do they reduce stress, a lot of them answered that music is the one thing that helps them to relax and reduce stress.
Interestingly, it doesn’t need to be soothing and relaxing music. It can be some kind of music that nobody would call relaxing music, but it helps some people with relaxation and stress relief.
For example, one good friend of mine says that rock music helps him with depression, sadness and also relaxation, and stress relief. It is amazing. For me, that stuff will not be relaxing, but some enjoy that music and relax while listening.

2. Take slow and deep breaths
Did you know that deep breathing is one the best ways to reduce stress? A lot of people I think aren’t aware of this. It really helps and, in my opinion, not much is talked about this stress relief tip.
This deep breathing is like a message to your brain to calm down and then the brain sends signals to your body. Deep breathing relaxed your mind and your body.
I know maybe it sounds strange, but writing is something that could help you.
I used to love writing diaries when I was a teenager, now I am writing less, but I still try to write something. For sure, it helps and I am not the only one who experienced such a thing.
Of course, it is not for all people, but there are some people who feel relaxed after writing their expectations and feelings in their journals. It is one of the best ways to reduce stress and I have talked about this in the past on this blog.

4. Soak in a warm bath
After a stressful day or any event, it is always great to relax in a warm bath.
Even if you can’t take bath, the shower is good too. Almost always I feel better after enjoying a nice shower.
It can be even like meditation when you can imagine all the worries and negativity and stress wash away and leave you.
5. Practice Meditation
Meditation is one of the best ways to reduce stress, even some people don’t know how to do or try to do it. There are many guided meditation videos out there for you to enjoy, experience mediation and, of course, also learn it.
It is great to be mindful and mindful meditation will help you to focus your attention on things that happen in the present moment and not worry about the future. One of the reasons for stress is the worry about the future I think.
We can avoid a lot of issues by being mindful and practicing meditation. I know it helped me in the past to get rid of terrible anxiety that was even impacting me physically in form of a rash.
Meditation doesn’t mean that always you need to sit still, it could be even walking as meditation or gardening. Both of them I did and I think it is an amazing way to meditate.
