Meditation is one of my favorite stress relief techniques and one of the best stress management techniques that you can practice.
It can make you mentally stronger and more able to deal with stress and anxiety.
Do you want to let go of negative thoughts? Of course, you do. Who doesn’t?

2. Nature
Go for a walk! Spend time in nature. Nothing is better than to smell the fresh air and feel the wind in your hair. It is so refreshing to feel the new energy come to you through the force of nature.
I can almost hear you asking “Does nature reduce stress? Really? “. Yes, really. Didn’t you see how you feel when you are at the beach or in the forest free from worry and stress? Didn’t you ever feel the new energy rising in you?
Nature can us all, and it’s not only me who thinks that. There are many people who use being in nature as their stress relief technique.
What can nature do for you? Nature lowers cortisol levels and blood pressure, and in this way promotes calmness and peace in you and your life.
You don’t even need to spend all day in nature if you can’t. Just go spend some time at a park. Go for a short walk. Have lunch in a park! When you need to return to your work, you will feel much better. Believe me, just see for yourself!
3. Time Management
If you want to effectively deal with stress, you need great time management skills.
My mom once said that I have great time management and organizational skills. Yes, maybe she is right, but I still struggle with stress from time to time.
However, I know that sometimes my planning helped me to feel less stress and anxiety when I needed to finish something. For example, these skills helped me with my master’s thesis. That time was very stressful, but I am sure that time management was crucial in successfully finishing university. Without these skills, my life would be more stressful.
I believe time management can help you do the same.
We all should learn to prioritize tasks and notice where we may be losing time. Time is priceless. Time is more valuable than money.
If we can learn how to effectively manage our time, we will better deal with stress in our lives.
4. Eat Healthy
If you want to be healthy and manage your stress more effectively, you need to think about your diet.
- Eat nutritious food that is full of vitamins and minerals.
- It’s essential to avoid sugar. Now I am trying to eat fewer sweets, and I feel much better. It’s also easier to deal with stress and anxiety.
- Have healthy eating habits and try not to skip some meals. Make a plan for what you will eat and when. A schedule can make your day less stressful.
5. Positive Attitude
A positive attitude about your life and life’s circumstances is very important for your health, well-being, and, of course, stress management. If you constantly worry and think negative thoughts, you can’t expect to be happy and free of stress.
Dealing with chronic stress isn’t easy, but a positive attitude can help you manage these deep waters and give yourself an upper hand in that situation. I know that it’s not easy to find balance in your life and get rid of chronic stress for good.
But if you can keep a positive attitude, you are on the right track, and everything else is just a matter of time. Think positive thoughts and your life will be better for sure!
6. Deep Breathing
Do you know that you may not breathe properly? Do you know that deep breathing can reduce stress? Studies show that breathing techniques are effective in managing stress in our lives.
Proper and natural breathing involves your diaphragm and not the chest and shoulders. Your belly needs to expand when you breathe in, but your belly needs to fall when you breathe out.
Strangely, too often people forget to breathe properly and that makes them more stressed and anxious. Are you one of them?
