Hi, everyone! How are you today? I hope you are feeling great. If you are stressed, I have something for you.
Maybe you have never known it before, and possibly it would seem interesting and unique to you in some way.
Do you know that there are toys that can help with stress relief? I am not talking about some toys for kids. Stress relief toys that are meant for adults can help you to reduce stress.
What do you think? Isn’t it amazing?
Okay, let’s explore the topic of stress relief toys a little bit more!
Stress Relief Toys. Can they be useful to you?
Sometimes you need a little distraction from stress. Right? So why wouldn’t use stress relief toys? Of course, you would ask how they can help you?
I don’t know about you, my dear reader. But the thing is that some people chew a pen or play with their ring when they feel nervous or stressed.
Speaking of me, I sometimes twirl my hair. Maybe you do other things that help you to feel better and manage your stress throughout the day.
For other people, these things could be annoying. But if that helps you to focus on your tasks and let go of tension, you should do it. If you are one of those people, a stress relief toy can be a great tool for you. At least, it can be much better than biting the fingernails. Right?
Distraction
Playing with your pen or with a stress relief toy is a good distraction from stress and the things that bother you. Sometimes it is great to distract yourself from things that cause stress and anxiety. Is it not? Of course, maybe for some of you distraction isn’t working. Let me know how it is for you and write that in the comment section below!
I used to distract myself from stress by watching movies and reading books. But, in fact, reading books is much more than a mere distraction, but that is a story for another day.
Studies
Some studies show that stress relief toys such as stress balls or fidget widgets help relieve patients’ anxiety during surgery, and they might also boost attention and memory.
Did you know that stress interferes with the capacity of your brain to encode information? I am sure that we all forget some meeting or event from time to time. Do you want to know how it happens?
When your brain is occupied with a stressor, it doesn’t encode a piece of new information, and stress also interferes with your ability to retrieve information. If stress relief toys might help you to ease tensions and boost memory, you need to use them. Don’t you?
There aren’t many studies on whether stress relief toys can relieve stress in the workplace. Either way, I think that they can be a helpful tool for people who have stressful lives.
There are a lot of people out there who have a very stressful jobs, and they deal with tense situations. Maybe you are one of them. Stress relief toys can make your stress more manageable, your life easier and maybe you can even become calmer.
More Benefits?
Stress relief toys can be beneficial for you. You just need to try, and then you will have your opinion about them. Let’s explore the benefits of stress relief toys such as stress balls!
- Release tension and relieve stress.
- Improve your mood. Squeezing the stress ball, release endorphins in your brain, and this activity improves your mood.
- Nerve Stimulation.
- Helps to divert your attention. If your focus is directed to the stress ball, you will stop concentrating on things that cause your stress.
- Physical therapy. You can squeeze the stress ball, and in that way, you strengthen your hand. For example, you squeeze the stress ball tightly, then hold for some time (5 seconds), and then release.
Types Of Stress Relief Toys
There are different types of stress relief toys, but here are the most popular ones, such as stress ball, fidget spinner, and fidget cube.
Stress Balls
Fidget Spinners

It is great to hear it. 🙂 I am sure it could help me too, and now I want to buy it. I also need to try something new. I like the meditation balls, but a fidget spinner looks good too.

Hi Linda! Great article and options for people who are experiencing stress (especially in the workplace) and need a quick “go to” for release. I totally agree that releasing negative emotions are key for overall health and vibrancy. You have a lot of good options here- personally I need to get up and get physical but again, great options for people in the workplace that do not have the option to just get up and go.

Hi, Andrea! I agree. When I don’t have a good mood or I am stressed, I love to go for a walk. But it is not always possible, and I think that stress relief toys can help to release tension and anxiety.
Thanks!

I’m a natural fidgeter, I fiddle around with anything I can get my hands on, most of the time unconsciously. Often it just helps me concentrate. I’ve never tried the fidget cube, but that looks like something I’d be really down with. On the other hand that stress ball in the photo give me the creeps. Just… weird 😀

Hi, Reini! Maybe some people have this kind of emotions seeing these stress balls. I like it, but we all are different. Either way, it is great to know that.

Hello Linda
I used to promote stress relief toys on my old site but I lost all the data for that site. I think I will start to introduce stress relief products to my new site – http://www.personalpositivity.com
My stress relief ‘toy’ is the acoustic guitar 😉
Thanks
Linda Mo
Hi! Nice, but sad that you lost all of your data. Great. I would love to check it, and maybe we can inspire each other.
My brother also loves to play guitar, and in that way, he let go of stress.
