Today’s world and constant stress are like close brothers and sadly we can’t really imagine a world where we don’t experience chronic stress.

Nowadays this is a very common thing and I am sure that almost all of us can agree that we experience stress more than we want to admit. Sometimes it is really hard to manage it, because of the constant rush, responsibilities, and somebody or something always demanding attention from us.

This is why I decided to write something that can let us remember our roots and the true nature that lies deep inside each of us. Who doesn’t want to find their true core? Right?

Lately, more and more people trying to do that and returning to their ancestry homes, occupations, or completely finding something new for themselves that resonates with their being. Plants and nature could be our connection to ourselves.

Not only humans experience stress. Plants experience stress as well, but at least a little bit differently than humans. It is related to humans and environmental conditions.

Maybe they are more like us than we believe and they are much closer to their roots than us because by living in modern society we somehow forget our relations to nature, mother Earth that binds us all together in a never-ending cycle.

Here some time ago were posted amazing articles about nature and how it relieves our stress and helps us to rest and relax. Those are the ones that I published first on this blog and it somehow invited people to be themselves and remember that nature is something that can heal us from stress, and anxiety and help us to enjoy our lives more.

There are many herbal remedies that are made from plants, but this time I don’t talk about remedies that you can buy in shops and are made in capsule or tablet form. Today I talk about something that is closer to true form and offers amazing benefits for all of us to enjoy.

Plants and StressToday I will talk about three amazing plants that can help you ease stress, and anxiety and feel better. Of course, there are way more than three plants that are amazing for relaxation, health, and stress relief.

But today we pay a little bit more attention to three amazing plants that could make all the difference if used properly and at the right time when you are feeling down.

Of course, these are not miracle remedies that can solve all stress issues in your life. Stress issues and management goes deeper than that for sure and I am absolutely certain that I don’t need to explain to you these things.

Three Amazing Plants That Can Ease Your Stress and Anxiety

1. Lavender

Lavender For Stress ReliefI could relax just by looking at this beautiful lilac blueish plant and if we take into account its calming scent, an aroma that could make even the most stressed person relax, then there is no best plant to use for stress relief. Okay, okay. I am a little bit exaggerating for sure. 🙂

Lavender is used to helping to soothe babies if they can’t sleep well enough. The oil of this plan is used to help in the treatment of depression and anxiety. I never tried it before but I can imagine how relaxing that oil could be. There are many things to be used to help with relaxation and stress relief and it doesn’t matter if you believe that it could help you or not. In times of stress, we need all the help we can get.

I know that some people, maybe too many people think that Aromatherapy isn’t working. In my opinion, it doesn’t matter. Everything that could help with the chronic stress problem that we are facing in today’s world, matters and is important to implement in our daily lives.

2. Peppermint

Peppermint For Stress ReliefOne of my favorite herbal teas is peppermint tea which helps me relax and it is amazing in the evening before bed. It is really tasty especially if there is honey involved.

Peppermint is great for a lot of things and there are even studies that show peppermint boosts alertness and lower frustration. Stress can be something that makes us frustrated about our lives and things we need to do as fast as possible.

The menthol that is found in the plant helps to relax muscles and this is why it is often included in bath products. Stress causes tension in our bodies and if bath and peppermint can make that go away, why not use it? It is especially nice after a really stressful day.

3. Jasmine

There is very interesting research about jasmine’s smell and how it can impact us. The fragrance of jasmine and its chemical substitute calmed the mice and they ceased all activity and sit quietly. So it seems that the sweet smell of jasmine can calm nerves and could be as good as Valium without its side effects.

It can not only help ease the body from anxiety but also help you to get a night of better sleep. You can take it in tea or use organic jasmine oil.

For me, even looking at beautiful green leaves makes me more relaxed and serene. Of course, it doesn’t mean that I don’t experience stress or anxiety at all. To be honest I experience those things more than I want to admit. 

But it is something very peaceful and relaxing about having plants near you. They are amazing parts of nature inside homes of modern living.
